Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Bradley Jacobs has started five companies from scratch and led each of them to become a billion dollar or multi-billion dollar enterprise. These include XPO Logistics (NYSE: XPO) and two other publicly traded companies: United Rentals (NYSE: URI) and United Waste Systems. XPO Logistics and United Rentals were among the 20 best-performing stocks of the decade. Prior to starting XPO in 2011, Mr. Jacobs founded United Rentals in 1997 and led the company for 10 years as chairman, including six years as chief executive officer. He founded United Waste Systems in 1989 and served eight years as chairman and chief executive officer.

Josephine Berisha leads the company’s strategy to provide competitive pay and benefits to its employees worldwide and maintain compatibility with business goals. She has more than two decades of senior experience with global enterprises, developing compensation structures and implementing technology to enhance data collection, analysis and reporting. Prior to XPO, Ms. Berisha served in senior positions with Morgan Stanley, including head of compensation for over 55,000 employees in 43 countries. She holds a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University.

Tony Brooks is responsible for leading XPO's less-than-truckload business unit in North America. Mr. Brooks is a 30-year career transportation and logistics executive who has run three of the largest truck fleets in North America. He joined XPO from Sysco, where he was responsible for North American field operations. Prior to Sysco, he was responsible for logistics, delivery, warehousing and fleet management for Dean Foods, following more than a decade in national operations with Sears. Earlier, for PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, he held executive responsibility for regional transportation, fleet, warehousing and inventory management. Mr. Brooks holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Erik Caldwell

Erik Caldwell has responsibility for XPO’s last mile operations in North America. Mr. Caldwell has more than 15 years of leadership experience with complex supply chain operations in the consumer and industrial sectors. He joined XPO from Hudson's Bay Company, initially serving as chief operating officer for XPO’s supply chain business unit in the Americas and Asia Pacific. His roles prior to XPO include senior vice president, supply chain and digital operations for Hudson’s Bay Company, senior vice president of global Rx operations for Luxottica, and director of retail solutions for DHL, where he also served as regional director of DHL’s last mile operations. Additionally, Mr. Caldwell consulted on global operations for McKinsey & Company. He holds a master of engineering degree in supply chain management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Richard Cawston

Richard Cawston leads XPO’s supply chain business unit in Europe, with responsibility for all aspects of contract logistics, including engineered solutions for order fulfillment, reverse logistics, stock management and valued-added services. Mr. Cawston previously served as managing director of XPO’s supply chain operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He joined XPO upon the company’s acquisition of Norbert Dentressangle SA, where he served first as business unit director, and then as country manager. Earlier, he was general manager of transportation company Christian Salvesen, now part of XPO, and operations manager of supermarket retailer Asda. He holds a degree in construction engineering from York College in Great Britain.

Michele Chapman is responsible for aligning XPO’s global sales infrastructure and utilization of data with the company’s business development strategy. Ms. Chapman has nearly two decades of senior sales experience, including positions as global head of sales operations for Amazon Business, head of healthcare sales for the Amazon Business Public Sector Group, and head of inside sales operations and vertical marketing for Amazon Education and Enterprise. Earlier, she served as senior director of sales operations for Philips Healthcare. She holds a degree in political science and environmental studies from the University of Washington.

Ashfaque Chowdhury

President, Supply Chain – Americas and Asia Pacific

Ashfaque Chowdhury, Ph.D., leads XPO's supply chain business unit in the Americas and Asia Pacific, with responsibility for contract logistics, reverse logistics, advanced solutions and the XPO Direct™ distribution network. He joined XPO upon the company’s acquisition of New Breed Logistics, and initially served as XPO's chief information officer for the supply chain unit. Over the course of two decades, Dr. Chowdhury has led the implementation of  complex logistics operations for some of the world’s most prestigious companies. He holds a master's degree in science and a doctorate in engineering from Lehigh University, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India.

Troy Cooper is president of XPO and serves on the company’s European supervisory board. Prior to his current position, Mr. Cooper held several key roles on XPO’s executive team, including chief executive of XPO Logistics Europe, chief operating officer of the company’s global operations, head of the transportation segment and vice president of finance. Previously, he held senior management roles in finance with two public companies, United Rentals, Inc. and United Waste Systems, Inc., where he worked with Mr. Jacobs to build leading North American networks for equipment rental and solid waste management, respectively. Mr. Cooper began his career working in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and Co. He holds a degree in accounting from Marietta College.

Matthew Fassler is responsible for the company's strategy, capital structure and analysis of growth opportunities. Prior to XPO, during 26 years with Goldman Sachs, he covered many of the world’s most prominent brands, including Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Best Buy and AutoZone. Additionally, he served as a Goldman Sachs managing director and business unit leader for more than 10 years, with responsibility for the broader consumer sector. Mr. Fassler has been recognized 16 times in Institutional Investor’s annual ranking of its All-America Research Team. He holds a degree in history from Yale University.

Luis Gómez leads XPO’s transportation business unit in Europe, with responsibility for full truckload, less-than-truckload, managed transportation, last mile and global forwarding operations. Additionally, he serves on the executive board of XPO Logistics Europe. Mr. Gómez joined XPO upon the company’s acquisition of Norbert Dentressangle SA, where he led the growth of the transportation business in Iberia. His more than 20 years of industry experience include earlier executive roles in finance with Christian Salvensen and Transportes Gerposa (now XPO). He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Cantabria in Spain, and has completed executive management programs from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and IMD Business School in Switzerland.

Mario Harik is responsible for the design and implementation of XPO’s technology infrastructure for the company’s global operations. He has built comprehensive IT organizations, overseen the implementation of extensive proprietary platforms, and consulted to Fortune 100 companies. Prior to XPO, Mr. Harik’s positions included chief information officer and senior vice president of research and development with Oakleaf Waste Management, chief technology officer with Tallan, Inc., co-founder of G3 Analyst, where he was chief architect of web and voice applications, and architect and consultant with Adea Solutions. He holds a master’s degree in engineering, information technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a degree in engineering, computer and communications from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon.

Tavio Headley is responsible for managing communications between the company, its investors and the financial community. Prior to joining XPO, Mr. Headley was a senior equity research associate with Jefferies LLC, covering the air freight logistics, rail and trucking sectors. Previously, he was an economist with American Trucking Associations (ATA), where he was involved in the collection, analysis and dissemination of trucking industry data. Mr. Headley holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Morehouse College.

Meghan Henson leads the company's human resources organization. She previously served as chief human resources officer for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, with responsibility for workforce support in 54 countries. Earlier, over an eight-year tenure with PepsiCo, she held executive roles that included chief human resources officer for global functions, senior vice president of human resources for the Gatorade, Tropicana and Quaker product businesses, and head of human resources in the Greater China Region for PepsiCo’s multi-product direct sales business. This followed consulting roles with Deloitte Consulting LLC and Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson). Ms. Henson holds master’s degrees in business administration and public policy from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in East Asian studies and political science from the University of Wisconsin.

LaQuenta Jacobs provides leadership and advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion in the cultural development of XPO’s workplace. She initially joined the company as head of human resources for the last mile business unit. Ms. Jacobs has more than two decades of experience leading organizational development initiatives for global public companies, and has championed inclusivity in senior HR roles with Delta Air Lines, Inc., The Home Depot, Inc., Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. and Georgia-Pacific Corporation, among others. She holds a degree in psychology from Clark Atlanta University.

Erin Kurtz has responsibility for the company’s communications strategy and implementation. Ms. Kurtz has more than 15 years of experience in corporate messaging, public relations, brand marketing and social media. Prior to joining XPO, she co-founded the agency Hunt & Gather to create market communications and brand messaging for global clients. Earlier, she served as vice president of external communications with AOL, was a director with Joele Frank, and led a public relations team at Thomson Reuters that elevated the Reuters profile around the world. She holds a degree in political science and speech communications from Syracuse University.

Katrina Liddell has responsibility for XPO's global forwarding and expedite operations in North America. Previously, she served as head of sales for XPO’s North American transportation group. Ms. Liddell joined the company following 14 years with Johnson Controls International, where her positions included general manager of the global building automation systems business, and senior roles in enterprise account management, vertical market development, operations and customer relations. She holds a juris master degree from Emory University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

John Mitchell is responsible for the technology services that support XPO's supply chain business unit in the Americas and Asia Pacific. He joined XPO upon the company’s acquisition of New Breed Logistics, where he served as senior vice president of information technology. Prior to New Breed, Mr. Mitchell was chief information officer with The Pep Boys, and earlier spent nine years with Lowe's Companies, Inc., where he was instrumental in managing the information technology infrastructure and IT merchandising for the Lowe’s retail store network in North America. He holds a degree in computer information systems from the University of Charleston in West Virginia.

Jacopo Mazzolin has executive oversight of the human resources organization of XPO Logistics in Europe and provides organizational support to its country leaders. Mr. Mazzolin has held senior positions in human resources for over 20 years, with an emphasis on international business in the distribution and industrial sectors. Prior to XPO, he was director of human resources for the pharmaceutical wholesale division of Walgreens Boots Alliance (UK), and served in executive roles with Datalogic (Italy) and Crown Holdings (Switzerland). He holds a master's degree in history from Ca'Foscari University of Venice, Italy.

Eduardo Pelleissone leads XPO’s business transformation initiatives. Prior to XPO, Mr. Pelleissone served as executive vice president of global operations with Kraft Heinz and its predecessor, H.J. Heinz. Earlier, during a 14-year tenure with America Latina Logistica SA, a rail logistics leader, his positions included chief executive officer, chief operating officer and commercial vice president of the agriculture division, as well as chairmanships of two subsidiaries: Brado Logistica and Ritmo Logistica. Mr. Pelleissone holds a master’s degree in logistics operations and services from COPPEAD Graduate School of Business in Brazil, and has completed the executive program of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Gregory Ritter has executive oversight of XPO’s strategic account activities in North America, with responsibility for strengthening partnerships with customers and growing the tier-one base. Mr. Ritter has more than four decades of sales and management experience in the transportation and logistics industry. Prior to XPO, he served as president of Knight Brokerage, a subsidiary of Knight Transportation. Earlier, Mr. Ritter spent 22 years in transportation operations with C.H. Robinson Worldwide. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

Lance Robinson is responsible for the financial strategy, risk management, external reporting and control systems of the company’s global accounting operations. Prior to XPO, during 13 years with General Electric, he was global controller for mergers and acquisitions with GE, chief accounting officer with NBC Universal, and served on the Business Development Council and the Controllership Leadership Council. Earlier, he was a senior manager in the transaction advisory services group of Arthur Andersen. Mr. Robinson holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Natal University, South Africa, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is a certified public accountant (USA), a chartered accountant (RSA) and a chartered global management accountant (AICPA).

Sanjib Sahoo has responsibility for the technology groups that support the company’s North American transportation organization of truck brokerage, intermodal, last mile, expedite, managed transportation and freight forwarding services. Prior to XPO, Mr. Sahoo was chief information officer of tradeMONSTER (now e*Trade), where he led the team that developed a renowned options trading platform. He has been the recipient of numerous distinctions, including InfoWorld's Leadership Award and Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders Award. Mr. Sahoo holds a master’s degree in computer applications from the Institute of Management Technology and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kalikata Viswavidyalaya, both in India.

Alex Santoro is responsible for the daily oversight of XPO's transportation and logistics operations and leads the company's profit initiatives. Prior to XPO, he was chief supply chain and operations officer for Restaurant Brands International, Inc. (RBI) and served as president of Popeyes, a flagship subsidiary of RBI and its majority owner, 3G Capital. Mr. Santoro's two decades of executive experience include 17 years in Latin America, where he served as chief executive officer and president of America Latina Logistica SA, as well as vice president of logistics. Additionally, he held roles as senior operations manager with Danone, and finance and distribution manager with Anheuser-Busch InBev. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Faculdades Salvador, both in Brazil, and has completed executive programs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ravi Tulsyan is responsible for the treasury activities of XPO’s global organization, including capital structure, financial risk management, liquidity management, financial planning and analysis, and oversight of insurance and pension activities. Prior to XPO, Mr. Tulsyan was treasurer of ADT Corporation. His earlier roles included vice president of global capital markets and head of corporate financial planning and analysis with Tyco International, senior treasury manager with PepsiCo, and manager of derivatives strategy and trading with Xerox Corporation. He holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras.

Drew Wilkerson leads XPO’s transportation group in North America, with executive oversight of the company’s truck brokerage, intermodal, last mile, expedite, managed transportation and freight forwarding operations. Mr. Wilkerson is an industry veteran with extensive transportation experience. Prior to his current role, he served as XPO’s president of brokerage operations in North America after initially joining the company to lead the growth of its flagship brokerage hubs. Earlier, with C.H. Robinson Worldwide, he held leadership positions in strategic sales, carrier relationships, customer relationships and operations. Mr. Wilkerson holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of South Carolina.

Malcolm Wilson leads XPO’s business in Europe, with responsibility for operations in 17 countries. He has three decades of executive experience with the development of multinational supply chain operations. Prior to being named chief executive he led XPO’s logistics business unit in Europe, including the largest outsourced e-commerce fulfillment platform in Europe. Mr. Wilson joined XPO upon the company’s acquisition of industry leader Norbert Dentressangle, where he was head of the logistics business and served as a member of the executive board. Earlier, he was managing director of consumer and retail logistics with Christian Salvesen (now XPO), and held other senior roles in the industry.

David Wyshner leads XPO’s global finance organization. His career includes 13 years as CFO of multi-billion-dollar public companies, where he oversaw major asset sales, spin-offs and acquisitions. Prior to XPO, he served as CFO of  Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a spin-off of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation. As CFO of Wyndham Worldwide, Mr. Wyshner led the company’s separation into one privately acquired business and two public companies, and spearheaded the acquisition of La Quinta Holdings. Earlier, he was president and CFO of Avis Budget Group, where he managed the global finance functions and led acquisition activities. Mr. Wyshner holds a master’s degree in finance and accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Yale University.

AnnaMaria DeSalva is chairman and chief executive officer of Hill+Knowlton Strategies. She previously served as senior advisor to the chief executive of DowDuPont, and as DuPont’s chief communications officer. Prior to DuPont, Ms. DeSalva was head of corporate affairs for biopharmaceutical innovation at Pfizer, an advisor to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and head of the global healthcare practice of Hill & Knowlton. Earlier, at Bristol-Myers Squibb, she led global public affairs for the oncology business and served as director of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation. Ms. DeSalva is a member of the board of governors of Argonne National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy and serves on the compensation and nominating committees. Additionally, she serves on the boards of the non-profit Project Sunshine and the William & Mary Alumni Association, and is a member of the Economic Club of New York. Ms. DeSalva graduated from The College of William & Mary in Virginia. She has completed the Harvard School of Public Health’s executive education program in risk communication, and the Advanced Health Leadership Program jointly offered by the University of California, Berkeley and Pompeu University in Spain.

Gena Ashe is general counsel and corporate secretary of Anterix Inc. Previously, she was chief legal officer and corporate secretary of Adtalem Global Education, and held senior legal roles with The Brickman Group, Ltd. (now BrightView Landscapes, LLC), Catalina Marketing Corporation, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), Darden Restaurants, Inc., Lucent Technologies, Inc. and AT&T. Earlier, Ms. Ashe was an electrical engineer with IBM Corporation before joining IBM’s legal team. She holds a juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from Spelman College. Ms. Ashe is a graduate of the executive development program of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and holds a certificate in international management from Oxford University in England.

Marlene Colucci has served as the executive director of The Business Council in Washington, D.C. since 2013. She previously was executive vice president of public policy for the American Hotel & Lodging Association for eight years, where she provided guidance on regulatory matters. From 2003 to 2005, she served as special assistant to President George W. Bush in the Office of Domestic Policy, where she developed labor and transportation policies and advised the president and his staff on related matters. Earlier, Ms. Colucci served as deputy assistant secretary with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Her law career includes more than 12 years with the firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where she served as senior counsel. She holds a juris doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Adrian Kingshott is the chief executive officer of AdSon LLC, managing director of Spotlight Advisors, LLC, and a member of the board of directors of Centre Lane Investment Corp. Mr. Kingshott was previously with Goldman Sachs, where he served as co-head of the firm's Leveraged Finance business, among other positions. More recently, he was senior advisor to Headwaters Merchant Bank, and a managing director of Amaranth Advisors, LLC. He holds a master‘s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a master’s degree in jurisprudence from Oxford University.

Jason Papastavrou, Ph.D., is the founder and chief investment officer of ARIS Capital Management, LLC, and is the co-founder of Empiric Asset Management, LLC. Previously, Dr. Papastavrou was the founder and managing director of the Fund of Hedge Funds Strategies Group of Banc of America Capital Management (BACAP), president of BACAP Alternative Advisors, and a senior portfolio manager with Deutsche Asset Management. He was a tenured professor at Purdue University School of Industrial Engineering and holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Oren Shaffer was most recently vice chairman and chief financial officer of Qwest Communications International, Inc. (now CenturyLink, Inc.). Previously, Mr. Shaffer was president and chief operating officer of Sorrento Networks, Inc., and executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ameritech Corporation. He also held executive positions with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, and served on Goodyear’s board of directors. Mr. Shaffer was a longstanding member of the board of directors of Terex Corporation and served on the supervisory board of Terex Material Handling and Port Solutions. He held earlier board positions with Belgacom S.A., Demag Cranes AG and Intermec, Inc. Mr. Shaffer holds a master’s degree in management from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a degree in finance and business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Our safety team is available to assist customers with programs that can reduce cargo damage, improve security and enhance worker safety. We also offer online safety training for owner-operators in our motor carrier networks.
